Original Masvadi By Kiti Kitchen Recipes
Masvadi is a Traditional Maharashtrian vegetarian recipe.It's also known as "Masalavadi" due to heavy masala stuffing in it. In this recipe spicy and delicious stuffing is stuffed in cooked besan. This vadi is then dipped in spicy and hot rassa with bajra roti. This tastes just awesome. Try this masvadi at home.
Masala For Stuffing ( Qty - 2 Vadi) :
1. 2 bowl onion, finely chopped
2. 1/2 bowl Dry coconut, grated
3. 1/2 bowl Sesame Seeds
4. 1/4 bowl garlic cloves
5. 1 tsp Poppy seeds
6. 2 tsp roasted peanuts pwd
7. Coriander Leaves
8. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
9. 2 tsp Coriander + Jeera pwd
10. 1+1/2 tsp garam masala
11. 1+1/2 tsp Onion Garlic masala
12. 1+1/2 tsp Red Chilli Pwd
13. Salt to taste
14. 1 tsp Oil
For Besan / Gram flour Coating :
1. 2 bowl Besan / Gram flour flour
2. 3 bowl water
3. 2 tbsp oil
4. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 2 pinch hing, 1 tsp Garlic+Green Chilli+Cumin paste
5. salt to taste
For Garnishing:
1. 2 tsp Fresh coconut grated
2. 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
For Curry / Rassa:
1. Coriander Leaves
2. 1 bowl chopped Onion
3. 3/4 bowl Dry Coconut
4. 1/4 bowl Ginger+Garlic
5. Coriander Leaves
6. 2 Bay Leaves
7. 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
8. 1/4 tsp Jeera
9. 1 tsp Red Chilli pwd
10. 1 tsp garam masala
11. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
12. 1 tsp Coriander + Jeera pwd
13. Salt to taste
14. 3 tsp Oil
